$125How do you help clients turn a traumatic experience into a catalyst for positive change? In this workshop, we’ll focus on how to help people turn the tables on trauma by using it to make things better in their lives– and even for the world. Research has demonstrated that most people report positive growth after trauma. We’ll talk about the 5 characteristics of post-traumatic growth and explore tools you can use to help you and your clients realize them.
In addition you’ll learn how to harness the process of memory reconsolidation to eliminate emotional triggers, reverse negative beliefs, and rescript traumatic memories. And– you’ll learn how to use imagery, music, movement, and humor to help clients assuage their pain and access their resilience. Through film clips, engaging stories, and live demonstrations, you’ll leave with a host of resilience-boosting ideas and techniques you can use right away.
